SERVICE GUIDE
Give a useful idea
a relevant audience.
A guest post should make sense for the publisher’s readers before it makes sense as a link placement.
What a sensible approach looks like
Start with the publication’s topic, audience, recent articles, and editorial requirements. Propose an original contribution that your business can credibly make. Where money changes hands, confirm the disclosure and link treatment before committing.
Prepare these details
- Target page and relevant topic
- Audience and country preferences
- Subject-matter input or source material
- Authorship and brand guidelines
- Budget range and content approval requirements
Ask for this evidence
- Publisher and article URL
- Approved title and target URL
- Writing and placement fees itemized
- Disclosure and observed link attributes
- Publication date and agreed correction process
Before you commit
Current availability, price, quantity, delivery window, and any replacement terms must be confirmed in writing. These pages explain the service formats; they do not constitute a fixed-price offer.
Is writing included?
That must be stated in the proposal. A placement fee and an article-writing fee are different costs; do not assume one includes the other.
Can I approve the site first?
Site approval and topic approval should be explicit milestones in the agreed scope. Publisher acceptance and publication dates can depend on editorial review.
For paid placements, see Google’s guidance on qualifying outbound links.
