REPORTING STANDARD
See the work.
Check the details.
An illustrative report structure—not a real client delivery, testimonial, or performance claim.
| Field | What it records | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Placement URL | The exact profile or article page | Lets you inspect the live placement. |
| Target URL | Your linked destination | Confirms the intended page is used. |
| Anchor / context | Visible link text and surrounding copy | Checks meaning and editorial context. |
| Link attributes | Observed sponsored, nofollow, or ugc values | Separates link treatment from promises. |
| Visibility / status | Live, awaiting approval, inaccessible, or removed | Makes incomplete work visible. |
| Date checked | Date the placement was inspected | Avoids treating old checks as current. |
| Indexing observation | Not checked, observed, or unknown | Keeps indexing distinct from publication. |
| Notes | Revisions, exceptions, and agreed support | Documents anything outside the standard scope. |
How to review a delivery
- Open each URL while logged out and confirm that the page is publicly visible.
- Check that the link points to the agreed destination and uses suitable text.
- Inspect the link attributes rather than relying on a “dofollow” label in a spreadsheet.
- Record the check date and flag any missing or altered placements.
A live placement is evidence of publication. It is not proof of traffic, indexing, or improved rankings.
